Costa Mesa wildlife control tip of the month:

UNBELIEVABLY, he was going to charge me upwards of $400 to do nothing more than put out ONE rat trap and intsall one set of pigeon spikes and give me $3 worth of pet Costa Mesa animal control odor eliminator for only $79. I told him that since he was not going to remove the rat, and that the odor was not gone, I didn't feel that was a fair price. He said that he never said he would remove the rat, and that he Costa Mesa pest control informed me of the $249 service charge over the phone. We argued back and forth, and I told him I was going to call the BBB. He said to go ahead, because he could get his money at small claims court. He kept arguing Costa Mesa wildlife removal with me and I said I will not pay that much money, when he basically did nothing. He said he was coming back Monday to check the traps.

I told him I did not want him to come to my place ever again. Finally, he agreed to accept $149, (an amount I suggested). He said that he better have the check by Friday and gave me his mailing address and then hung up Costa Mesa animal trapping on me. I sent the check, and it has cleared my bank already. I am sorry to write such a rambling e-mail, but the point I wanted to make is this: If you are a reputable business, you should take the link to his Costa Mesa animal trapping website off of yours. I don't think you would want to be associated with him. Basically, I think he is kind of dishonest or at least unethical in the way he does business. Charging $249 just to come out is Costa Mesa exterminator outrageous. Any other company will either give you an estimate and not charge you for it, or maybe charge a reasonable service charge, but not $249. Also the $79 for pet odor liquid is high--especially since it did not work. I would be Costa Mesa exterminator interested to know if you have had any feedback about him from anyone else.
